With CIIT Senior High School TVET-ICT – Animation Strand, you’ll learn how to communicate your ideas and narratives through traditional and modern approaches to animation. This includes Traditional and Digital Drawing, Graphic Design, 2D Animation, Color Theory, Character Design, Multimedia Arts, and Storyboarding.

Plus, you get to train under veteran animators, study a specialized curriculum verified by industry experts, and gain access to cutting-edge tools, facilities, and software. All of these will equip you with the needed knowledge, skills, and experience to become a competitive force in the industry.

    Drawing 1 is an Art Foundation course that starts the artistic journey of a student in translating ideas into reality or realizable concepts. The mastery of creating illusions through texture, lines, mass, depth, volume, distance and other techniques, will enable the students to develop the skills needed to pursue professions in the visual arts. It will also allow students to master skills that can be utilized in multiple visual art disciplines.

    This course will provide a historical analysis of visual communication with an emphasis on the development of art.     Drawing 2: Digital Animation

    This course will introduce students to the fundamental terminology, concepts, and techniques of creating moving images of a visual storyteller through traditional animation and digital filmmaking. Through various projects, students will be introduced to animation concepts such as timing, weight, anticipation, and others. As a final project, students will be required to integrate the skills and knowledge they have developed in this course by way of producing a short animated video.

    Work Immersion

These will prepare them to meet the needs and challenges of employment or higher education after graduation.

GRADE 11

Knowledge of basic techniques and tools for drawing as well as digital adaptation of artworks will be introduced in your first year. You will learn how to contextualize your perspective of graphic design to past and present art movements. An understanding of film language will be developed. You will also acquire in the following areas:

GRADE 12

In your second and final year, you will learn to effectively use a range of both physical and digital tools to create output. You will acquire a knowledge of color theory as well as elements and principles of design which you will be able to apply to your work and allow it to further express the message you want it to convey.

Animation is a growing industry, and we want you to be part of it! We’ll teach you how to design characters, scenes, props, and settings—everything you need to know to get started on your career in animation. You’ll be ahead of the game when you enter college by building your skills now.

    Web Design and Scripting

    This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of website creation. Students will develop, manage, and maintain professional websites using HTML 5.0, Cascading Style Sheets 3.0 and basic scripting. The complete production process including pre-production planning, layout and design considerations (including site maps and navigation), testing, uploading and implementing the site, maintenance and applicable legal and ethical issues are covered. Professional web design software and production tools are used for graphics development, image manipulation, and page/site layout in the hands-on laboratory exercises.

    The course aims to teach students the concepts behind a video game. It will show them how one actually creates a video game from scratch and the techniques behind it. This course also teaches the students on creating a Game Design Document, which acts as a blueprint before diving into the production phase of game development. They will know how to create game mechanics, stories, mood and feel, target audiences, and a whole lot more.

    Architecture and Organization

    Architecture and Organization

    This course provides an overview of the architecture and organization of a computer and how it is built.  It includes a discussion of the CPU, memory, I/O organization, and peripherals. Concepts of assembly language and the machine representation of instructions and data of a modern digital computer are presented. Students will have the opportunity to study machine addressing, stack operations, subroutines, and programmed and interrupt-driven I/O. They’ll also study the basic concepts of machine organization. This will include computer architecture at the register level and micro-operation components of instructions. Students will utilize the microcontroller instruction set and will perform programming exercises in Arduino IDE.

The business landscape is evolving rapidly. And to not only meet these changes, but also lead them, CIIT Senior High School Academic – Accountancy, Business and Management Strand (ABM) will equip you with the latest technologies, techniques, and tools of the trade.

With CIIT ABM, you’ll learn about Accounting, Digital Marketing, Business Management, Microeconomics, Business Ethics and Responsibilities, Financial Management, and more. You’ll also gain real-life experience as you implement everything that you’ve learned in Business Simulation Activity and Work Immersion. Thus, you’ll have the experience, knowledge, and skills to succeed in any degree, career path, and industry you want to pursue.

The use of computer and software applications for computation and data presentation is encouraged.

These theories are geared towards the business/firm’s action in achieving their ultimate financial goal of maximizing the shareholder’s wealth.     Business Ethics and Responsibilities

    The course deals with the fundamental concepts, principles, and practices of ethical standards in the business environment. It combines the theoretical foundations of setting up business enterprises with the conduct of entrepreneurial activities in the context of one’s accountability and social responsibility.
    Specifically, the course aims to: (1) provide students with a basic understanding of the mechanisms whereby companies can be made to act in the best interest of shareholders, other stakeholders, and society as a whole; (2) provide students with knowledge of general ethical principles as applied to the special situations of business and the ability to make informed judgments through case analyses; and (3) equip students with the ability to formulate basic strategies in relation to corporate ethics and governance.

    This course is designed to provide students with the core concepts and body of knowledge that forms the foundation for the product practice of photography through the use of camera equipment and the basic knowledge of photo editing software, such as Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.

    This course lays the groundwork for a study and/or career in the field of photography, including exposure control, shutter speed, aperture functions, and lighting. An introduction in composition, stylistic approach and the use of natural and artificial lighting will be taken up with the digital SLR and smartphone as the primary tool.

While instruction in the DepEd mandated academic subjects will be contextualized as specifically as possible for this strand, you will also be able to acquire the following specialized skills at the end of each year level:

GRADE 11

In your first year, you will learn basic techniques and tools for drawing as well as how artworks are adapted into digital translations. An understanding of general elements and principles of design will be developed and will also be applied through photography. You will be able to develop solutions for design problems and produce effective layouts based on your analysis of an audience’s perceptual capabilities. The following technical skills will also be acquired such as:

  • Creating basic multimedia projects such as short films and online information campaign galleries using Adobe® Photoshop CC/InDesign software/Premiere
  • Setting up exhibitions
  • Using camera equipment and photo editing software
  • Creating photo projects and professional portfolios

 

GRADE 12

Knowledge of art concepts will be further expanded in your second and final year. You will learn how color conveys messages and how to effectively use it.
