Along with that, Airtel have even more reasons to celebrate, since the company reached a new milestone of 200 million customers. Airtel crossed 50 million customers in October 2007 and 100 million in May 2009. The next 100 million customers were added by the company in just 18 months.

The Airtel signature tune has also been refreshed by A R Rahman making it youthful and dynamic. The Airtel’s previous tune made history as world’s most downloaded mobile music with over 150 million downloads. But personally we didn’t liked the new signature tune. Airtel also announced that it will launch its 3G services in India by the end of this year. The company have already grabbed 3G license for 13 telecom circles in India Mumbai, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh (West), Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, North East, Jammu & Kashmir.
